Something Very Interesting to Watch

While teaching Intuition classes last week the subject of the future came up and I was reminded of a lecture I watched last year about Paul Amadeus Dienach. Dienach lived in the early 1900s and experienced a 365-day spell of narcolepsy during which he went into the future to the year 3906. While there, he was schooled about the history of where civilization had been and what had happened between the early 1900s and the 3900s. It is an amazing story with some VERY interesting information! The lecture is called Memories From the Future: The Valley of the Roses and is 2 hours long. It was a lecture given at the A.R.E. in Virginia around 2013. There’s a book titled Chronicles From the Future available on Amazon that contains the entire story. If you haven’t already seen it, you might enjoy watching it on a Sunday afternoon orevening. Here is the link:

To Yvonne About Islam…

I’m not the least bit ignorant, Yvonne. I know what Islam teaches. And in your counter-argument, you verified beautifully exactly what I pointed out…submission is the path to achieve Islam’s version of religious success. It doesn’t matter that they tack on promises that say submission will get you to Oneness. It’s still submission, and it’s a very effective way of controlling the spiritually immature.

Christianity does the same thing using guilt. All sorts of promises are made to you if you will just purge yourself of guilt, the result being that you end up focusing on your imaginary guilt – all of which is defined by men. Some people go so far as to flog themselves or continuously punish themselves instead of focusing on the joyousness and freedom of becoming who you really are – warts and all! You are a unique individual for a reason.

Buddhism does the same thing by telling you to get rid of the ego. Shame on you for having an ego! The problem is that the real ego is that part of you that is always aware and scanning the environment for threats that may require you to fight or run like hell to save your life. The legacy of Freud is a serious misunderstanding of the ego.

You need the ego as a protective function! However, as you develop your consciousness, you become more and more present. The more present you are, the less need there will be for your ‘ego’ to be watching. Instead, you will be watching and supremely aware! As you become being totally present, the ego fades naturally to the background. You take over the job of watching for attacks and threats – and you calmly and skillfully shift these energies. You can only be totally present if you are silent, aware, and maintain absolute clarity. Telling people they have to drop their ego is not only a disservice, it’s a serious distraction from the work of becoming highly conscious. Ego is absolutely necessary until full spiritual development takes over, at which point the ego is subsumed into an awakened consciousness.

All religions are frameworks for the spiritually immature. This is not to say they are bad. They are useful for helping us hold a set of beliefs until we can plumb their depths and go beyond the dogma. Religions often mean well, but their teachings tend to be shallow and must eventually be understood at a much deeper level than most religions care to go. They don’t want to go any deeper because it undermines their control. Those people who go beyond the common framework enter the world of the esoteric teachings. This is a territory where only a few people really venture because it takes you beyond the world of the easy, the shallow, the group-think platitudes that most people settle for.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You will rarely get to Oneness and the experience of the Godhead by doing what the religions, or even the New Age teachings tell you. You will only get there by having the courage to be yourself, follow your heart, and let the path that interests you take you into the unknown where you will risk being torn apart at almost every level of your being. However, you will come back together and will emerge as someone who knows the Self and needs no other framework.

Interview on Sacred Space Radio

I recently did a 2-hour interview with George Rideout of Sacred Space Radio in Winnepeg, Canada. We talked about all sorts of things from kundalini and spiritual development to dreams, near death, reincarnation, and a whole bunch of other topics associated with spiritual development.  Here is the link if you’d like to listen and enjoy:

9 Guidelines to Use When Navigating the Alternative News

This started out as a reply to Tom Van Berckel, but became an entire blog. Thanks for the inspiration, Tom! And thanks for the compliment.

You aren’t the only one who gets confused when trying to figure out what to believe or who to listen to when wading through the ocean of alternative news. In my experience, and from conversations with many others, it takes at least a couple of years to learn to navigate that ocean and develop the capacity to put together a realistic picture of what’s going on out there. Along the way you discover several things that really have more to do with consciousness than anything else.

#1 – everyone has their own point of view and whether we think their views are right or wrong is somewhat irrelevant. Their point of view tells us where they are at with their perception, NOT where we should be at with ours! We each NEED our own point of view because that is the center point from which we communicate, learn, change, and grow.

#2 – we live in a consensus reality system – but that consensus is VERY loose. In my view, it is amazing that it holds together at all given the huge diversity of beliefs, experience, and perception that exist here. It is only because of our tolerance (unspoken) for one another, and our gratitude (unacknowledged) for their willingness (unconscious) to help hold it all together, that we are able to continue with the reality.

#3 – the idea of “proof” is useless. Even the best of scientists rarely think in terms of “proof.” They say, “This is what most of us agree on at the moment,” and they know that new insights and information will eventually go beyond the current agreement. My own stand is that there is no proof, there is only what we each experience, and each of us is responsible for assessing that experience from moment to moment and responding to it wisely and well. For most of us who are trying to wade through the huge amounts of alternative news, a good rule of thumb for judging any news is that the reporter should at least have some evidence to show, and when they have finished offering evidence, they should make it clear when they are switching to their own interpretation of that evidence.

#4 – you will resonate deeply in your gut, your heart, and your mind when you see or read news that is true and important for YOU to know. Not all news is relevant to all people.

#5 – listen to what people say, but watch carefully what they do. Keep a notebook handy in which you jot down lists, or create a folder on your computer in which you save speeches of key promises and predictions that people make. Then pay attention to whether they do what they said they would do, or how they behave when the prediction doesn’t come true. A few people will complain that this is too much work, but this is the burden of being a real citizen. We are where we are in this country because the hens have been selling eggs AND fresh chicken to the fox – and no one is paying attention!

#6 – find news sources that do a fairly good job of synthesizing lots of information and presenting a well-thought-out view of the big picture, or that consistently present smaller slices of information in a clear and honest way. The task here is to eventually find news sources you trust and that you can return to again and again because their information is always presented in a straightforward,  thoughtful way that makes you think.

#7 – learn to discern the difference between sources that sometimes get excited or upset about something, those who are continually outraged and spouting off about it, or those that are always trying to incite fear and dread. It’s like the difference between fresh milk (news), sour milk (news with an attitude), and fermented milk (news with a hidden agenda). In each case it’s milk, but you will respond differently to each.

#8 – you have a right to be interested in some things and not others. Follow the threads of conversation and information that you find interesting, and let yourself become knowledgeable and aware in the areas that you are interested in. Some people love politics, others love to read about the economy, some are only interested in technology, or science, or war, or psychology. Some follow music closely, or entertainment, or sports. So follow your nose, consuming information and arguments about the things that interest you, and occasionally graze in other pastures that offer other topics.

#9 – as for “truth,” there is only one unchanging and reliable truth – and that is that everything in existence is made of an intelligent Light that we call God, or Source, or The Universe, or whatever. All the stuff that emerges from that Light is temporary, which is why we say it is an illusion. It’s really not an illusion, it’s just temporary in the sense that it is not eternal and forever unchanging like that Light is. But you can damn well count on having a sore foot if you drop a brick on it. You can’t just blow that off as “illusion.” The truth is that it hurts!

In closing…we are in the middle of a paradigm shift of global proportions. A paradigm shift is a change in consciousness. If you are going to make that shift along with everyone else, you have to take responsibility for what you feed that consciousness and what you do with that consciousness. We are moving out of the paradigm of one-size-fits-all-and-one-story-informs-all. How you assemble the world is up to you!

Using Conspiracy Theory to Advantage

There are two ways to view events in our world. One is that things just happen naturally, the other is that there is a hidden hand manipulating things to their advantage. The first is called the accidental theory of events, the second is called the conspiracy theory of historical events. Mainstream media has managed to give a bad name to those who think there is a hidden hand manipulating events in our world today. From my point of view, the majority of those deeply poo-pooed “conspiracy theories” turn out to be true. So I have been wondering if we might take the whole idea of conspiracy theory and make it our own, conspire to construct the future we want, and then, if the powers that be get upset or try to blame us for anything, we can accuse them of believing in those silly conspiracy theories!

We Are Not All One

We are not all one! We are all different in weirdly wonderful and unique ways. Think of it like this. The world is a giant barrel of flour. The flour is used to make bread dough. Some of the dough is made into loaves to become toast or sandwiches, some into cinnamon rolls or dumplings, and some into bagels, pizza, or croutons. Additional ingredients can be added or left out to make pita pockets, a simple form of paste, maybe gravy, cookies, or pie crust. There is flour in all of these, but each is different and has different reasons for being. It is the same with us. Are we all one? No, not in a practical sense. Do we all have a common ingredient? Yes. We are all made of light. Is there only one kind of light? Nope. There are many frequencies, each a unique color and sound. How much does the average human know about light? Not much. Why are we made of light? Who knows! However, light has the capacity to perceive, to hear, to communicate, to move about, and to organize or re-organize itself. Using modern industrial language, we could truthfully say humans are a product of the light. What do we usually say?  “I have been created by God.”

Sasquatch

Someone sent me an article about Sasquatch and asked me to read it and let them know what I thought of it. I read it and thought it was a perfect example of the problem with so much “new age” media. So I decided to respond to it on my blog as well as to the individual who sent it. The article was about a gentleman in British Columbia who said he had established physical and telepathic communication with a Sasquatch elder. It was an interesting read, although quite cliché in its narrative.

If you would like to read the full article, click on this link… (I had to break up the link to get it to display properly, so you may have to put it back together to get it to work.)

ArcturianAscensionTools+%28Arcturian+Ascension+Tools%29

As for what I think about the article, the positives are:

  • I have every respect for people who are attempting to communicate with a life-form that is not part of everyday experience for others.
  • I know the message of encouragement to connect with Mother Earth is true and necessary.
  • The article contains a message of warning about the need to awaken and evolve toward peace or suffer the destruction of our world, a warning that I am very aware of already.
  • I know how reclusive the Sasquatch are and how resilient they are.
  • I know people who have been communicating with Sasquatch for some time, so the article is not totally out there in left field.

The negatives are:

  • Anyone who has experienced telepathy and then tried to write about it is forced to put it in their own words. This kind of translation is challenging, and inexperienced people usually do a poor job at best because they do not know how to separate the message received from their own already-existing beliefs. The translation ends up being full of the biases and beliefs of the author, and this article is no exception.
  • The grammar is atrociously bad! I know that not everyone has excellent writing skills, but it does not help to raise the level of discussion about these matters when the grammar is not even sixth grade level. People are barely willing to read anymore, and bad writing only makes reading more difficult. Worse, such bad writing is dismissed before what it says is even considered. If you don’t write well, find someone who does to correct what you put out there.
  • The use of singular verbs that are inconsistent with the plural nouns they refer to is maddening and creates a feeling of confusion in the reader. If you are going to put something out there for others to read, for god’s sake do some editing. Just because someone wrote it that way (poorly) doesn’t mean it has to be published that way (poorly).
  • The use of the made-up word “uncivilization” sounds like a modern and very current construction. The Sasquatch do not have much of a language and it is highly unlikely this word would fit the language skills of the Sasquatch, so the best we can say is that this is a good example of author bias. It does get the point across that someone – either the author or the Sasquatch – does not think we deserve to be called “civilized.”
  • The references to Atlantis and Mu are cliché and out of place. The author’s statements do not match what I have seen at all. (Not that I am an expert on either Atlantis or Mu, or the final arbiter of what went on back then.) Neither Atlantis nor Mu was destroyed because they were “bad.” They were simply located in low-lying areas that were inundated when the glaciers melted and the sea level rose over 350 feet in three distinct flooding episodes. All the stories about them being punished for having strayed from “divine law” are projections of current religious themes that we are caught in.
  • The photos or drawings inserted into the text of the article are completely inappropriate and take away from the seriousness the author seems to want to convey.
  • While there are very advanced beings from other dimensions and other star systems who work in teams to seed new worlds, the way this is often portrayed is inaccurate. This article offers one of those inaccurate portrayals.
  • I am very uncomfortable with people who use the concepts of punishment, war, and extraterrestrials to justify their beliefs, to frame their beliefs, or as reasons for us to do something different.
  • I am very suspect of people who project the concepts of God, devils, punishment, war, money, extraterrestrials, patriarchy, or even the supremacy of humanoids, etc. onto the rest of the cosmos. These are memes from our current, very primitive culture. We are in the habit of assuming that these concepts form the main framework of life in all places and all times. They are not, and thinking they are is cultural arrogance coupled with ignorance.
  • The entire article has the flavor of entertainment that is being used to get a personal message across, something common on the internet.
  • The title of the article, Arcturian Ascension Tools: Sasquatch, gives the impression that someone is trying to connect extraterrestrials to Sasquatch. It’s always possible that this is the desired goal, but in my small experience with extraterrestrials, they don’t need many tools, especially Sasquatch. They do have technology, but their main tool is consciousness and they use it to perfection.

In closing, I am very uncomfortable with writers who are unable to give the human race credit for anything. Thus, someone else created us, someone else cheated or manipulated us, someone else is responsible for keeping us down, and someone else will rescue us. This is crap. We are powerful beings who have made poor choices again and again. If we don’t take responsibility soon for what we’ve done, we will just blow out like a candle in the wind.

The gift of life has to be nurtured. No one owes us a life. The great freedom, which we refer to as free will, is to do whatever we want with the life we have. Life is meant to be enjoyed. It offers all kinds of beauty, feelings, experiences, pleasures, and surprises. But the law of life is, “Nurture life or die.” Our world is pretty far out on one of the limbs of the tree of life. One good storm and it’s over. The great freedom and largesse that comes to us with the gift of life is given to us without interference because the end result is guaranteed…Either figure out how to nurture life, or the civilization will collapse due to its own violence and stupidity, thus insuring that no really bad civilizations endure.
