Robes

Robes – A Book of Coming Changes is a book of global dimensions. In 1980, a group of little monk-like men in brown robes began to visit Penny Kelly, always asking her to “look at some pictures.” Over the next year and a half, the little men visited her regularly, each time showing her pictures of the future and emphasizing that humans needed to take responsibility for the world they were creating. This is the story of what she was shown, and an amazing commentary on the ongoing evolution of the human being.

Robes is a book that offers a compelling look at the changes coming at us now and over the next decades. By turns startling, comforting, enlightening, and unnerving, it takes a deep look at the coming  break-up of nations, our evolution past democracy, the temporary rise of business to power, and some of the reasons for all of this. It goes on to examine our institutions, technology, how we raise children, our sexuality, ideas about healing, the family, and culture as well as the emerging human potential embedded in the body/mind system. This is a book for everyone interested in how to let go of the the old world and begin to build the new world. Notably, it brings hope, new ideas, and a common sense back to the world we live in.

A FEW EXCERPTS:

Pg. 38:  Thus, after operating in deep debt for a number of years, when the shakedown among the giant corporations begins, your government – actually a bankrupt corporation – will shut down slowly and painfully.

Pg. 85:  As the big nations stop, start, and continue to crumble, people will begin communicating with one another in unprecedented ways via the large global network. Big corporations will watch these developments and be divided as to whether or not they should support, oppose, or ignore these newly evolving forms of communication and organization. In the end, most will opt to follow the dollar and in doing so, will help create the structures of communication that will eventually become the seeds of their own retirement from power.

Pg. 93:  The truly deep and difficult questions that you must learn to ask and answer could be stated as, “Do you need money to buy what you already own? Is it best for power to be concentrated in the hands of a few who try to make decisions that run the lives of all? Can you develop yourselves to the point that each individual becomes personally self-responsible? How can a woman or a man learn to access the full potential of the creative powers within the self unless he or she enjoys responsibility for the course of his or her life? In what ways has the freedom, power, and decision-making of each individual been corralled into narrow ruts and then eroded? And exactly what are the potentials of the fully evolved human?”

Pg. 163: In truth, there is no heaven, there is no hell, there is no god of righteousness waiting to judge or punish you, there is no devil trying to entrap you into his fires. These are only belief systems, similar to your concepts of Santa Claus and Easter Rabbit, useful for those who have not discovered that the god power they seek is inside them.

Pg. 181:  Just when you need to be paying more and closer attention to what is happening with the food supply, the illusion will deepen that food is everywhere, that it is cheap and available around the clock, that you do not even need to do much to prepare it any more, and if there is a problem, the scientists or the government will deal with it. And perhaps they will for a while, but artificial foods will not support human life.

Pg. 184:  A truth that has never changed will again be affirmed: The laws of nature remain steady and constant, and for all civilizations that pass through the earth system, none will survive who do not discover, accept, and live in accordance with those laws. Although this may seem like a paradox that forces you back to old ways, the truth is that this is the only way to advanced evolution of the human being.

Pg. 196:  “Stand here and look in the mirror,” the little men pointed to a place on the floor. I moved over to the spot they indicated and stood facing the mirror. To my great surprise the image in the mirror was not the human form I was expecting. Instead, I saw clouds of color and waves of energy interspersed with masses of twinkling lights, tiny shooting stars, and funnels that appeared to channel lights in an orderly manner throughout the form I was looking at. The entire form blinked and then sort of mushroomed outward momentarily, matching the wave of surprise that turned my stomach around. “You are in a special high-frequency zone that allows you to see the energy system of the body,” the little men told me. “It is used to keep an eye on health and to correct problems before they get into the physical body.”

Pg. 220:  When the U.S.S.R began breaking up, I was stunned. I began to think more and more often of the little men and the things they had said were coming. What if all the things they had shown me were real and about to happen?

  1. Penny, something about your book Robes: A Book of Coming Changes has resonated deeply with me. The amazingly detailed account about our (not too distant) future rocked me emotionally.
I’m not a stranger to the lesson we all need to learn, the idea that our way of life is changing drastically and that it’s up to us to steer it in the direction that aligns with nature and the well-being of everyone on our planet. But I was struck profoundly by your journey of self-examination and growth, and how fully and heartfully you related your awakening and shared your encounters and the prophetic words and pictures of the little men in robes.

My only regret is that I didn’t come across Robes earlier. I recently heard you on a radio talk show where you mentioned the book in passing. I read the sneak peak in Amazon, got hooked, and downloaded it, after which I spent the next couple days immersed in it.

I think what makes Robes so remarkable is that the encounters occurred about three decades ago, and that so many of the changes your benevolent visitors shared have indeed come to pass. I hope many others are as moved as I was, and that it and your other books and good works become a catalyst for the changes we need to make in ourselves, both spiritually and practically.

    • Alayne, thank you so much for sharing your response to Robes. I think you hit the nail on the head in saying that “it’s up to us to steer it in the direction that aligns with nature and the well-being of everyone on our planet,” and I hope you are inspired to do exactly that – begin steering! It is our life, our planet, our future – but it won’t be if we sit back and do nothing.

    • Hi there Gaia’s Farm & Gardens! You know, I was so reluctant to put Robes out there, because I was sure the little men were exaggerating terribly in their assessments of where we were headed. But now I watch what’s happening in the world and I feel strongly that the most important message of the book is not what is coming apart, it is the message of what we can create…and the need to hold a vision of possibility, just like they said. Here we are, teetering back and forth, lots of people looking to re-establish the illusion of security we once had, re-create our country or economy, stabilize the present institutions, fix what we have had – and always looking backwards. We need many more people looking forward!!

    • Thank you, David! And I agree about a link…it is coming. I was traveling for the last two weeks, but right before I left I got all the parts of my new website working and working together! Now I just have to load the information onto each page and I can make it go live!
