The Still, Small Voice

Things tick, whir, spin, hiss, chat, shout, growl, and roar both within and without. The noises and activities inside this body are little different from the clocks, washing machines, heaters, refrigerators, telephones, computers, technology, and timers that surround and sometimes fill my space. Is it any wonder that it's difficult to hear the still small voice within when everything conspires to drown it out? © Penny Kelly, 10.31.2011
