Remember when you used to turn on the 6 o'clock or 11PM news and then sat to watch what the TV station had pulled together as the latest news broadcast? Those days are long gone and you are now responsible for creating your own news hour. It is up to YOU to assemble the collection of news events, stories, weather, and personal interest reports that give you some idea of what is happening in the world. With the rise of the internet, there has been an avalanche of information made available to us, most of it from our fellow citizens. What we see reflected all around us is the astounding diversity of perception held by millions of people from all over the world who all have something to say or share. Every one of those YouTube videos, audios, or website documents reflect the biases and perspectives of whoever is posting it...and what you pull together will reflect the world you want to see, to create, to live in.
Things to be aware of...
- If you are only collecting information and stories that have the same biases that you hold, you will be unprepared for what is really going on.
- Isn't it amazing that we can hold our reality system together when almost no one sees things exactly the way others do? There are similarities of course, but the differences are mind-blowing...and give us a clue as to our ability to tolerate differences!
- Keep in mind that you are responsible for assembling your own reality, and how you assemble your news will give you a big clue as to what you are creating.

Hi Penny, I had a strange thing happened to me this week and can hardly believe it. Last week I lost a button from my favourite jacket whilst out shopping with my husband. We retraced our steps but couldn’t find it. The button was ornate and unusual and I didn’t think I would ever find a replacement so just forgot about it and wore the coat the next few days without the bottom button. Yesterday I put the coat back on all we were aghast to see that all the buttons were there. We were wondering how this could be?

Aida, just figured out how to approve and reply to comments…at least I think I have, so thanks for your patience. There are laws that govern existence and reality, and one of them is that things tend to shrink and fade if no one puts energy into them. So just focus on the things that you are interested in, that you enjoy, appreciate, or would like to see more of. The more you fill your world with what you love, the more you withdraw energy and recognition from things that don’t matter and the less those things occupy your world. Of course, if everyone else in the world wants war, you will have to deal with that because they are just as creative and powerful as you. However, the old saying is very true, “Whatever you can dream or do, begin it! Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!” So keep one eye on what is happening in the world, and keep the other one on the stories, news, and reports that excite and inspire you.

A Barry Sanders Moment...
"...Barry Sanders was a little guy, only 5’8”, but he was fast, he was light on his feet, he was alert, and he was supremely flexible. It didn’t matter that the forces arrayed against him were huge, heavy, and coming from every direction, all of them ready to pile on. Each of us is a little guy compared to the forces we now face. I think it’s time to decide if you’re going to be around long enough to help build a new civilization.
